Your Gifts

Greetings!!!

Do you know that you have gifts from God? Look at 1 Peter 4:10-11: "As each one has receives a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."

What are your gifts and talents? What makes you come alive? Pursue excellence in those areas. If you are a student, be the best student you can be to the glory of God. Work diligently to be the best you can be where you are right now. Do what it takes to get the best grades you can. Do not be satisfied with just getting by. Jesus said in Matthew 5: 14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck-measure, but on the lamp-stand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

In the process of letting your light shine, remember Philippians 2:3-8 "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasp, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross."

The gifts you have been given are important gifts to do the work of God where you are. Do not minimize your gifts. Do not fail to recognize your gifts. Do not let the gifts you have been given remain unopened or unused. You are important in the kingdom of God. Find your place and be all you were created to be.

The LORD bless you with recognizing and using your gifts for His glory.

I love you,
Ruth
